Tomorrow(November, 18th) is college scholastic ability test(CSAT)!

Tomorrow is college scholastic ability test. And today is an orientation day for the college scholastic ability test. This time is very important because they has been studying very hard for the past 12 years.(6 years of elementary school and 3 years each for middle and high school.) But, it will all be gone tomorrow.

There is intense competition to enter the prestigious universities in Korea. In fact, when I was student, I felt stressed about grade and I sometimes have a headache.
And also, I was always told "Live and breathe studying as long as you are a student."

Parents wanted to be a great person. So, they told me "study hard, study hard"
Oh, no! STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! I was very stressed!
Of course, it is no easy task looking after a child who is a senior in high school.
So students will continue to take private lessons because they will have to get higher grades at school, instead of higher scores on the College Scholastic Ability Test. Private lessons are also a hot topic in today's modern, but, I don't think we can solve this problem.

A recently conducted survey show how hard it is to do so, sine 80 percent of Korea seniors are finding it difficult to concentrate on their studies while 53 percent feel frustrated and anxious.
During exams, students concentrate hard on answering the questions. Concentration increasing foods may also be helpful. For example, broccoli, fish, nuts, beans, egg, green vegetables, beef, grains, brown rice, spinach and soybean.. and so on..
Good food and enough sleep are necessary to good health.

AND,

Test-takers, everybody, GOOD LUCK:)

  1. I heard the exam was overally very difficult this time. But I think it's better for students to have a hard one than have an easy one. I am skeptical about Korean SAT. The result shouldn't be the only thing that judges students' efforts for the past years of their study. Fortunately, a system is changing little by little, but still lots things to be changed for an effective and successful result on students' bright future.

  2. Wow! I couldn’t believe How CAST is already!! Whenever I read about CAST article after graduated from high school, I felt that Time flies like an arrow!!(Oh my goodness!!!)
I also tested the CAST 3years ago. Although I couldn't get records I wanted at that time, these days, I think that test is not everything. You know, more than 700,000 high school students and graduates in South Korea took the nation’s college entrance exam on Thursday. I watched about CAST difficulty on TV. As soon as I heard that the CAST was SO SO difficult compare to lass past, I would say to test-taker “Well, that’s not all. Even if you felt difficult, disappointed on CAST today, it doesn’t tell the whole life to you. CAST is only one of your life experiences. Don’t be depressed!! Cheer up ~Dears!! Test is not everything.” Indeed, Korean society is making high school senior crazy. I know every year; the pressure surrounding the exam is blamed for a number of student suicides. When I was a high student, I also got little pressure and felt anxiety about CAST. Stress on students can be overwhelming. I think many Koreans believe that the entrance exam determines our future. (But, I don’t believe like mind) I hope Korea Education government to make policy to can hold up students’ way. Anyway, I know students will be individually notified of their results by Dec.8. I would say them “No pain, no again, dears!!Don’t be disappointed if you did yourself best! You will be better soon~♥”

Yes.. I also heard the exam was so difficult. That's so tantalizing. Now, no.46 question of the language part is problem. There was a big controversy over an answer in the language section of the Scholastic Aptitude Test. That's confusing to students. So sad..:(

  6. It’s over~ High school students, grad 3, are very very happy with finishing the CSAT or so gloomy with the score unanticipated TT poor them. I couldn’t remember how my feel was when I took the Test.TT it’s too long years ago.;;; maybe my hands are shacking and my stomach was unstable;; haha Studying is not whole our life!! But if I knew why I need to study I would be better to concentrate on studying haha It’s Okay then because I know it’s important to study I can start now~!>_<// I feel bad as I saw students who are not concentrated on their class with no patience I would tell them Look OUT!!!
I heard that the Test was pretty hard so, the score of entering or applying for university will be go down. Everything is just one time illusion; we can forget easily the things we did… Is it making sense? Hum.. Anyway I want to say to test-taker~! Good luck: 3
