If you chew Xylitol gum, it reduces the rates of cavities by 47.1%

The habit of chewing gum started in the 1980s in Finland when Finnish scientists discovered that gum containing xylitol, a natural sweetener found in plant tissue, prevents tooth decay.
Annual gum market scale of Korea is 230 billion won. Of these, rate of Xylitol gum is about 50%. In the number of gums terms, about 3 billion. In other words, the whole nation are chewing Xylitol gums 60 a year. Is it working prevent cavities by chewing Xylitol gum?







Xylitol is contained fruit, vegetable. Xylitol extracted from a birch tree.
Sugar content of Xylitol is the same sugar. But, calory is about 75% low than sugar. And when Xylitol gum melts in your mouth, absorbed heat from the around, it gives refrigerant.

Experts recommend, Xylitol is incepted three times(6 grains), 5~6g a day.

    I wonder if only Xylitol gum has effect on preventing decay. I heard one more interesting fact about Xylitol gum. We usually chew gum after having a meal to reduce bad breath when we can't brush our teeth in some cases. right?
    but I heard Xylitol gum is more effective when chewing after brushing our teeth and before going to sleep. Isn't it interesting? hehe :P

  4. Right! Xylitol gum is more effective when chewing before going to sleep. So, Xylitol advertisement says, "This gum chewing before going to bed in Finland, Xylitol gum!" Haha:)

  5. Xylital gum is still popular to people. In additon, Xylital gum was also popular to people that one grandfather dance saying that 'Hula Hula'. I remember that this dance and 'Hula Hula' was very interesting. But i don't know that gum chewing before going to bed was effiective certainly. However i almost chew the Xylital gum.!!
